How to Become a Volunteer
We are currently seeking volunteers to provide tours, access, and information to groups of individuals with disabilities. If you are interested in other volunteer opportunities, we can help you find the perfect role that matches your skills and interests.
Who We are Looking For
We are looking for two types of volunteers at HRC:
- The first group includes those who may spend unsupervised time with the individuals we serve. These volunteers will need to undergo a healthcare worker registry background check, child abuse and neglect check, drug test, and other background screenings, as well as receive orientation and training.
- The second group includes volunteers who will remain supervised when working with HRC clients. These volunteers will need to follow the direction of HRC staff but can participate with significantly less background checks and training.
If you have any questions or concerns about the background checks, please contact us, and we will guide you through the process.
